This print is based on an oil painting! This one was the first in my most recent collection, ‘Coming Back Home’.
I’ve spent the last year trying to figure out a style I’ve been wanting to work in, I knew I wanted my work to feel soft and warm. I feel like so many things in our day-to-day life are so lacking in colour and I want to bring colour and fun back into our lives rather than everything needing to feel so ‘safe’ and ‘sanitised’. This is even becoming common in art & illustration. I want to push away from that and make the work that feels interesting and unique and bright and eye-catching to make your homes more beautiful and more interesting as well.
I’ve always been drawn to representing day-to-day life, I find it so cool being able to make simple things beautiful. I think it’s so important to our perception of the world.
I hope you enjoy these new prints!
It embodies home, warmth, intimacy, love and calm. Something I believe we all need a bit more of at the moment.
My aim in my work is to make you reconnect with yourself and your feeling of home and love within yourself!.
I hope seeing this reminds you to take a moment of calm for whilst in the midst of your busy life.
